Abstract: In this AMP.NATSEM Income and Wealth Report, we explore life satisfaction in Australia, examining how it varies across different demographic groups, searching for the elements that contribute the most towards a satisfied life. We analyse data from the Household Income and Labour Dynamics of Australia (HILDA) survey, which asks participants how satisfied they are about various aspects of their lives, including their relationships, employment and home. In this report, we recognise that satisfaction and happiness are often interchangeable terms that fall under the umbrella of subjective wellbeing and use this terminology accordingly.
