Abstract
This presentation investigates the relationship between household income, parenting styles, and child outcomes, using data from the preschool cohort of 'Growing Up in Australia: the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children' (LSAC). It features charts and slides outlining income distribution, the correlation between high income and high child outcomes, and possible factors. Though no single factor is significant, the results highlight the impact of parental stress and hostile parenting, and the protective role of income.
